Forensic odontology deals with the arduous task of manifestation of a person?s identity. Forensic dentists use details of dental structures, when these identification methods are inadequate or not possible. One such technique is the aid of cheiloscopy in human identification. It plays a pivotal role in addition to bite marks, tooth imprints, restorations, prosthesis, palatoscopy and linguoscopy.
